Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Round steak, cut into 1-inch cubes.
  • 1/2 c. Red wine.
  • 1 c. Shredded apple.
  • 1 c. Shredded carrot.
  • 3/4 c. Sliced onion.
  • 2 Bay leaves.
  • 1 c. Beef stock, divided.
  • 5 tsp. Cornstarch.
  • 1 T. Olive oil.
  • 1 tsp. Salt.
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced.

Directions

Heat oil in your Magefesa pressure cooker and brown meat. Add apple, carrot, onion, ¾ cup stock, wine, salt, garlic, and bay leaves. Close lid securely, bring to pressure and reduce heat. Cook for 20 minutes. Remove cooker from heat and remove lid according to instructions. Remove bay leaves. Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water and stir into beef mixture. Cook until mixture begins to thicken. Serve over rice or noodles.
