- 2/3 Lb Flaky crust dough
- 1 Cup butter.
- 1/2 Cup maple syrup.
- 2/3 Cup sugar.
- 3 or 4 Eggs.
- 3/4 Lb Pecans.
- 2/3 Cup flour.
Stretch out the pastry dough and place into a pie pan. Puncture the base with a fork and cover with parchment paper. Place a layer of dried beans or chickpeas on top of the paper to avoid dough from getting too fluffy during baking.
Preheat the oven at 355°F and cook for about 15 minutes.
To prepare the filling, place butter ointment, maple syrup and sugar into a Combinato Magefesa kitchen robot. Process until ingredients is well mixed into a homogeneous paste.
Add the eggs one by one. Chop pecans (except for 12), and mix with the flour. Add flour mixture to the bowl with the eggs and the rest of the ingredients and mix in without beating.
Pour mixture over the pastry crust. Decorate with the reserved whole pecans.
Bake in the oven at 355 °F for 20 min approx.
Serve at room temperature to accompany ice cream or English custard sauce.
