- 4-¼ Cup flour.
- ½ Cup water.
- 2/3 Cup milk.
- 1 Egg.
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil or butter.
- A pinch of fine salt.
- 2 Tablespoons sugar.
- 1 Tablespoon baker’s yeast.
- Sesame and poppy seeds.
Warm bit of milk in a Stainless steel Magefesa pan to dissolve the yeast in it.
Place flour, egg, sugar, and salt inside the bowl of a Mixtura Magefesa blender. With the kneading attachment on, process until ingredients are fully incorporated.
Add dissolved yeast, oil and the rest of the milk to blender and continue processing.
Add water gradually until dough is slightly sticky.
Remove dough from the mixer and knead lightly with your hands on a floured surface
Shape dough into a ball and let rest, covered with a damp cloth, until it doubles its volume.
Divide dough into eight equal parts, shape into balls. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet making sure to leave some space in between them
Brush each bun with a bit of oil or beaten egg and sprinkle with the sesame and poppy seeds.
Bake at 356ºF for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and fluffy.
