- 4 Thick Serrano ham slices (1 cm. thickness).
- 200 ml. Fried tomato sauce.
- 2 Cloves.
- 0, 4º Mild olive oil.
- 4 Thick large round bread slices.
Prepare fried tomato sauce according to the recipe you have previously been provided with. The only thing to consider is reducing salt quantity since Serrano ham will be used.
Heat some oil up with the 2 cloves in a Magefesa Stainless Steel Skillet, fry the ham slices turning them around so that they are evenly fried and keep them away on an absorbent kitchen towel paper.
Heat the tomato sauce in a Magefesa Nonstick Stainless Steel saute pan, add the fried ham slices and leave it cooking low heat for five minutes.
Brown the bread slices in a Magefesa Sunny 4 Toaster.
It is a very easy recipe but we should take some details into account to make it perfect. The ham must be lightly-cured so that there are not any hard parts and, above all, not very salty.
If we want to make the most of a high salt ham, we will leave it soaking in milk for some hours.
We will find lean meat with tomato in many bars from Navarra as well as tapas or pinchos. It is almost compulsory to eat them during San Fermin Festival.
